A caricature of Dorothea Jordan and the Duke of Clarence (subsequently William IV). A framed painting or print on the wall to the left is titled "Love for Love," with the caption "Ben and Miss Prue Footing it together," an allusion to William Congreve's Love For Love. On the right is a document labelled "Settlement / Directions for Steering up the River Jordan." A framed painting or print to the left is labelled "Little Pickle / Prest into the Duke Man of War's service."
At the center are the Duke and Jordan. He asks "What should Sailors do on Shore?" She replies,
Why kiss the Girls, and top the Can;
Sweet the Lips of my dear Man
In the lower right under the image:
"Give but an Englishman his Wh—re and ease,"
"Beef and a sea-cole fire, he's yours forever,"
