Ornamental headpiece above title in early issues shows city view of Salisbury, bracketed by cuts: a post-boy with a rising sun and motto: "Advenit ille dies." on left; hand with a bouquet of flowers and mottoes: "Prodesse et delectae/E pluribus unum" on right. Ornaments disappear with no. 216 (Mar. 16, 1742).
Title engraved from no. 370 (Feb. 26, 1744) bracketed by cuts of a sailing ship and a post boy in ornamental frames.
