The Christians rescue from the grand error of the heathen, (touching the fatal necessity of all events) and the dismal consequences thereof, which have slily crept into the church. In several defences of some notes, writ to vindicate the primitive and scriptural doctrine of Gods decrees. By Thomas Pierce rector of Brington in Northamptonshire.

Note
Annotation on Thomason copy: "Sept 1st".

With this general title page and preliminary leaves were reissued 5 separate works by Thomas Pierce. The separate work included in this filming is the first item in the 5-part volume, i.e. "A correct copy of some notes concerning Gods decrees" (London, printed by R. Daniel fo Richard Royston, 1658; Wing P2172). The Thomason copy as presently constituted is lacking quire ?A?: a blank leaf (?A1); title page "A correct copy of some notes ..." (?A2r); dedication (?A3-4). The catchword on the leaf preceding the missing quire in the Thomason copy is "A Cor-", i.e. the first words of the title page of the first item in the 5-part volume. Probably each of the 5 parts that make up the complete work were also published separately.
