A letter, dated 4 November 1674, from Charles II to Gilbert Sheldon, Archbishop of Canterbury, concerning certificates signed by the clergy excusing the poor from paying the hearth tax. The King's letter is countersigned by Danby, i.e. Thomas Osborne, Earl of Danby and later Duke of Leeds
