Vol. 1 is a reissue of the 1707 edition with a slip cancelling the author and imprint statement pasted on the titlepage and with a different frontispiece from that in the original issue.
- Uncontrolled note
- Height = 34.5cm.; gutter = 4cm. The frontispiece in vol. 1 is different from that in vols. 2 and 3. We do not have an ordinary paper 1718 vol. 1 in the British Library but I assume that it is in the same reissue state as the large paper vol. 1, hence the 500 note
