"Whereas it hath been represented to the court, by the .. Company of Butchers, London, that there being a distemper among the milch-kine, on the borders of this city, .. and, that it is to be fear'd many of the said cattle, .. as well as measled pork and other bad provisions, have been sold to persons, who do expose them to sale by way of hawking .. This court .. doth hereby charge .. constables within this city, .. to apprehend all .. persons whom they shall find selling, .. any beef, pork, or other provisions whatsoever; .."
