Volume 1 additional title pages: "Naturalist's miscellany: or coloured figures of natural objects; drawn and described immediately from nature" and "Augustimmimæ Celissimæque Carolettæ, Britanniarum Reginæ, virtutibus præcellentissimæ, artium elegantiarum judici, fautrici summæ, hunc primum naturæ vivarii fasciculum cultu omni et obsequio D.D.D. Georgius Shaw, Fredericus P. Nodder."; Title page to vol. 1 is engraved; other volume title pages, which are undated except for the final volume title page, in letterpress are in parallel Latin and English: the English beginning with 'To [dedicatee] this [volume number] volume of the Naturalist's miscellany ...'; The indexes to vols. 16-23 each have the colophon: 'Printed by B. M(`Millan, ...'; The final volume, dated 1813, is an index entitled 'General indexes, in Latin and English, of the subjects contained in the twenty-four volumes of The naturalist's miscellany; ... London: printed for, and published by, Elizabeth Nodder & Son; by B. McMillan'.

- Reprints of vols. 1-3 known and recognised as thus: vol. 1, first descriptive page (for Psittacus porphyrocephalus) has last line beginning "provectiori"; reprint has "niori". Vol. 2, first descriptive page (for Mus saliens) has catchword "pilis"; reprint has "valde". Vol. 3 has reprinted titlepages (Latin and English) but not reprinted parts; the reprinted titlepages are identified by (in the English title) "The naturalist's miscellany" as one line while the original English titlepage has "naturalist's miscellany". MRu reports w/m in vol. 24 =24
