The two dissertations are reissues of separately published works; each has a separate titlepage, pagination and register: 'A dissertation upon Oriuna' has the imprint "printed for John Whiston and Benj. White", 1751; 'Further observations on Carausius' has the imprint "printed for W. Owen", 1756
'Further observations on Carausius' was printed by William Bowyer; his records show 250 copies printed; 'A letter to the Reverend Dr. S--k--y on the first part of his medallic history of Carausius' was also printed by Bowyer, entered in his records at November 1756
