Publishers' advertisement in the Boston gazette (Edes & Gill), Dec. 10 states in part: "Mr. Fowle having in his last paper intimated, that the counterfeit Ames's Almanack, which he has in the press, is preferable to the counterfeit one, publishing by some booksellers in Boston: This is to give notice, that no almanack for 1760 is from Dr. Ames's original copy, but that printed and sold by J. Draper in Cornhill, R. Draper, at the South-End, Green & Russell, and Edes & Gill, in Queen Street, and T. & J. Fleet in Cornhill." - Title page illustration.
