A made-up volume consisting of a reissue of the contents of the quarto edition of 'The works of Mr. Alexander Pope. Volume II.', London, 1735, together with the sheets of 'Poems and imitations', 4?, 1738 (minus titlepage), of 'The universal prayer', 2?, 1738 (with reading "Incense" in last line) and including also 'The Dunciad: book the fourth .. The second edition', 1742.

Uncontrolled note

The volume should perhaps be dated 1737 as on the general titlepage (cf. Griffith 474) but the make-up of these vols. appears to vary (v. Griffith) and this is a uniform contemporary binding which includes a copy of the 1741, Works, vol.2
